> Touch the icon «man» to adjust the points of the stitch pattern individually.
> Touch the icons «-» or «+» in the upper right portion of the display to alter the points of the stitch
pattern.
> Touch the icons «-» or «+» in the lower right portion of the display to alter the length of the stitch
pattern points.
> Touch the icons showing the yellow number to reset the alterations to basic setting.
Sewing tapering
Alterations of the selected stitch pattern are saved automatically. In the manual mode alterations are
canceled when the stitch pattern is selected again.
> Touch the icon «Decorative stitches».
> Select a stitch pattern of the Categorie 1400.
> Touch the icon «i-»Dialog.
> Touch the icon «Determining the length manually» so that the alterations of the stitch pattern are not
saved.
> Touch the icon «Programming the tapering length» to save the alterations of the stitch pattern
automatically.
> Press the button «Start/Stop» or the foot control to start sewing.
> Press the button «Quick reverse» as soon as the desired length in the center section of the tapering is
reached.
– The machine sews the whole stitch pattern and stops automatically.

> Turn the «Upper Multifunctional knob» or the «Lower Multifunctional knob» to determine the length.
> Press the button «Start/Stop» or the foot control to start sewing.
– The machine sews the whole stitch pattern and stops automatically.
