A more distinctive and relief-like effect can be achieved when the pintucks are corded, which means that
they are sewn with an additional pintuck cord. Chose a pintuck cord that fits well into the grooves of the
selected pintuck foot. The cord must be colorfast and shrinkproof.
Pintuck foot Number Description
30 (optional accessory)
3 grooves
4 mm double needle: for heavy
fabrics.
31 (optional accessory)
5 grooves
3 mm double needle: for heavy
to medium weight fabrics.
32 (optional accessory)
7 grooves
2 mm double needle: or light to
medium weight fabrics.
33 (optional accessory)
9 grooves
1 or 1.6 mm double needle: for
very light fabrics (without pintuck
cord).
46C (optional accessory)
5 grooves
1.6 – 2.5 mm double needle: for
light to medium weight fabrics.
Inserting the cord
> Switch the machine off and disconnect it from the power supply system.
> Remove the needle.
> Remove the presser foot.
> Remove the stitch plate.
> Open the bobbin cover.
> Pull the cord through the hook opening from the bottom and through the opening of the stitch plate.
> Replace the stitch plate.
> Close the bobbin cover.
