1 My BERNINA
1.1 Introduction
With your BERNINA 790 you can sew, embroider and quilt. Delicate silk or satin fabrics as well as heavy-
weight linen, fleece and denim can be sewn successfully with this machine. Numerous practical as well as
decorative stitches, buttonholes and embroidery motifs are at your disposal.
In addition to this instruction manual, three help programs are provided on the display.
The Tutorial gives information and explanations, covering various aspects of sewing, embroidering and the
different stitches.
The Creative Consultant provides recommendations for completing your for sewing projects. Enter the
fabric type and technique desired for the project; the machine provides recommended needle, stitch type
and presser foot.
The Help Program contains information about individual stitch patterns, functions and applications in the
display.
