Command Syntax Command Mode Purpose
ntp server ip-address [key keyid] [prefer]

number]
CONFIGURATION Configure an NTP server. Configure the IP
address of a server and the following optional
parameters:
•
key keyid: Configure a text string as the key
exchanged between the NTP server and
client.
•
prefer: Enter the keyword to set this NTP
server as the preferred server.
• version number: Enter a number 1 to 4 as the
NTP version.
