Syntax: show span pvst-mode
This command displays the following information.
Configuration examples
The examples use two common configurations:
Untagged IEEE 802.1Q BPDUs on VLAN 1 and tagged PVST+ BPDUs on other VLANs
Tagged IEEE 802.1Q BPDUs on VLAN 1 and untagged BPDUs on another VLAN
Tagged port using default VLAN 1 as its port native VLAN
In Figure 32, a PVST+ configuration uses VLAN 1 as the untagged default VLAN and VLANs 2, 3,
and 4 as tagged VLANs.

To implement this configuration, enter the following commands on the device.
BigIron RX(config)# vlan-group 1 vlan 2 to 4
BigIron RX(config-vlan-group-1)# tagged ethernet 1/1
BigIron RX(config-vlan-group-1)# exit
BigIron RX(config)# interface ethernet 1/1
BigIron RX(config-if-e10000-1/1)# pvst-mode

Port The Brocade port number.
NOTE: The command lists information only for the ports on which
PVST+ support is enabled.
Method The method by which PVST+ support was enabled on the port. The
method can be one of the following:
Set by configuration – You enabled the support.
Set by auto-detect – The support was enabled automatically when
the port received a PVST+ BPDU.
