Use extreme caution when working near the sampling needle. The sampling needle is sharp
and can cause injury. Always wear gloves when performing maintenance on the ‘Abacus 5’
analyzer.
1. Open the front panel and secure it with the
support bar.
2. The right side panel of the analyzer must be
removed to access the wash head. Loosen the
2+2 screws on the front and rear of the side
panel and remove the right side panel.
3. Locate the sampling needle. The washing head
is positioned near the top of the sampling
needle.
4. Using extreme caution, gently twist off the
washing head from the needle and pull it
downwards. Use a soft cloth dampened with
water to clean the bottom of the wash head.
