KINEMATICS AND COORDINATE TRANSFORMATION
Coordinate systems (#CS / #ACS).
·324·
(REF: 1709)
Definition mode.
The MODE definition mode sets the order in which the axes rotate to reach the desired plane.
In some cases, the resolution of the plane presents two solutions; the selection is carried
out defining which axis of the coordinate system stays aligned with the plane.
Maintain the part zero when canceling the coordinate system.
Turning a transformation off, if not defined otherwise, restores the part zero that was defined
before activating the inclined plane. To maintain the current part zero, the one defined with
the coordinate system, program the command KEEP. This command is only admitted in
instructions that deactivate a coordinate system.
45º spindles (Huron type).
Huron type spindles have two solutions for orienting the tool perpendicular to the new work
plane. For this type of spindles, it is possible to select which one of the two solutions is to
be applied (SOL2 command). See "19.4.7 Operation with 45º spindles (Huron type)." on
page 334.
Detailed programing.
Here are all the possible programming formats; the list of arguments appears between curly
brackets and the optional ones between angle brackets.
Format to define and save (without activating) a coordinate system.
If the coordinate system has already been defined earlier, these instructions will redefine it.
#CS DEF [{nb}] [MODE {mode}, {V1}, {V2}, {V3}, {1}, {2}, {3}, <{align}>,
<FIRST/SECOND>]
#ACS DEF [{nb}] [MODE {mode}, {V1}, {V2}, {V3}, {1}, {2}, {3}, <{align}>,
<FIRST/SECOND>]
Format to define, save and activate a coordinate system.
#CS ON [{nb}] [MODE {mode}, {V1}, {V2}, {V3}, {1}, {2}, {3}, <{align}>,
<FIRST/SECOND>]
#ACS ON [{nb}] [MODE {mode}, {V1}, {V2}, {V3}, {1}, {2}, {3}, <{align}>,
<FIRST/SECOND>]
{nb} Number of the coordinate system (from 1 to 5).
MODE {mode} Definition mode (from 1 to 6).
{V1}...{V3} Components of the translation vector.
{
1}...{3} Rotation angles.
{align} Optional. Plane alignment (value 0/1). Only in modes 3, 4 and 5.
FIRST/SECOND Optional. Command to define the orientation of the axes. Only in mode 6.
#CS DEF [2] [MODE 1,0,15,5,30,15,4.5]
(Defines and saves a new coordinate system as CS2)
#CS DEF [3] [MODE 3,0,15,5,30,15,4.5,1]
(Defines and saves a new coordinate system as CS3)
#CS DEF [4] [MODE 6,20,105,50,30,FIRST]
(Defines and saves a new coordinate system as CS4)
{nb} Number of the coordinate system (from 1 to 5).
MODE {mode} Definition mode (from 1 to 6).
{V1}...{V3} Components of the translation vector.
{
1}...{3} Rotation angles.
{align} Optional. Plane alignment (value 0/1). Only in modes 3, 4 and 5.
FIRST/SECOND Optional. Command to define the orientation of the axes. Only in mode 6.
#CS ON [2] [MODE 1,0,15,5,30,15,4.5]
(Defines, saves and activates a new coordinate system as CS2)
