Important: Details and additional
information on the use of your
FLYER e-bike.
In such information boxes, you will find
important details and additional information
on the use of your FLYER e-bike.
Torque: See the model-specific
information in the applicable Tech-
nical Data document.
If certain tightening torques for screwed
connections must be observed, a torque
box can be found in the specific point in the
text. All relevant torques for the components
on your FLYER e-bike can be found in the
applicable Technical Data document.
2.4 Figure and terms
2.4.1 Figures
This document contains exemplary fig-
ures; the details of your e-bike may there-
fore differ from the figures.
2.4.2 Terms
These original instructions predominantly
use the term e-bike. This term refers to all
types of electric motor-assisted bicycles
described here, both so-called pedelecs

and so-called S-pedelecs

. The respective
bicycle type is explicitly specified only at
points in the text that require a distinction
between a pedelec and an S-pedelec.
Directional information such as left/
right, front/rear is always provided
from the cyclist's point of view
(in the direction of travel forwards).
1 "Pedelecs" have pedal assist up to a maximum of
25 km/h and belong to the EPAC group of vehicles
(Electrically Power Assisted Cycles).
2 "S-pedelecs" (= speed pedelecs) have pedal assist up
to a maximum of 45 km/h.
3 Intended use
3.1 Basic information on
intended use
Your e-bike is designed for use under cer-
tain conditions. Accordingly, certain require-
ments for intended use were taken into
account in the design.
If you do not use your e-bike as intended,
e.g. for other applications than intended,
such misuse can have serious conse-
quences: Components may not be able to
cope with the requirements and fail putting
you at risk of accidents, serious injuries and
damage to the e-bike.
The manufacturer and specialist dealer are
not liable for damage caused by non-in-
tended use. Warranty and guarantee claims
are also voided if the device is not used for
its intended purpose.
The following applies to all e-bikes
described here:
Your e-bike is designed for one cyclist.
The seating position must be adjusted to
suit the cyclist.
Use your e-bike only for its designated
proper and intended area of application

The permissible total weight

may not be
exceeded.
The legal regulations and country-spe-
cific and regional requirements for partic-
ipation in road traffic must be taken into
account.

Carrying luggage is only permitted with a
suitable device attached to the e-bike and
secure fastening of the luggage.
