Transporting a child in a child seat is only
permitted for e-bike models with approved
racks with a maximum carrier load of 27
kg.
15
These e-bike models are approved for
use with the tested and listed child seats.
FLYER e-bikes whose maximum rack load
is 25 kg are not approved for child seats.
Important: FLYERAG declines all
responsibility and any resulting
risks if FLYER e-bikes with a maxi-
mum rack load of 25 kg are used
with a child seat.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
Using a child seat with e-bikes that are
not approved for this purpose may
result in accidents and serious injuries.
• Only use child seats with e-bikes
approved for this purpose.
• Use only certified child seats from
specialist dealers.
Observe the following points for the use of
child seats:
• Ask your FLYER specialist dealer whether
your e-bike is approved for the installation of
a child seat and which specifications apply.
• If necessary, ask your FLYER specialist
dealer for advice on a suitable child seat
for your e-bike.
The FLYER specialist dealer will
instruct you on how to use the approved
e-bike models and approved child seats.
• Observe the permissible total weight and
greatly changed center of gravity when
cycling with a child seat.
Practice cycling with a child seat at
first or ride very carefully to familiarize
yourself with the changed cycling charac-
teristics of the e-bike.
Important: The legal requirements
for the use of child seats vary from
country to country. Find out about the
provisions of their national legislation.
15 The rack loads for all e-bike models can be found in
the applicable document Technical Data, chapter 1
"Tare weight, approvals and weight limits".
FLYER recommends, regardless of the legal
obligation, that children riding in a child seat
wear a helmet.
Important: The safe transportation of
children is the responsibility of the
cyclist. FLYER AG declines all respon-
sibility in connection with the transport
of children and any resulting risks.
5.6.3 Bicycle trailer
The use of your e-bike with a bicycle trailer
to transport a child or a maximum of two
children is only permitted with the approved
e-bike models with the corresponding label

use with trailers”).
This label contains information on the per-
missible trailer and drawbar load, as well as
information on the maximum gradient you
can drive with a trailer.
Important: The maximum trailer
load and the listed drawbar load
may not be exceeded.
