19.1 Inflating/
deflating tires
1. Remove the protective valve from the

2. To achieve the correct tire pressure,
inflate or deflate the tire using an air pump
with a matching valve plug/adapter.
Check the tire pressure with a pres-
sure gage or an air pump with pressure
indicator.
3. Replace the protective cap after inflating/
deflating the air.
4. Make sure that the lower valve nut is
screwed on tightly.
19.2 Fixing a flat tire
Correct and safe repair of a flat tire on an
e-bike requires expertise and special tools.
In addition, work is carried out on safety-re-
lated components.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
Incorrect mounting of wheel sets and
brakes can lead to serious falls and
injuries.
Only have technical defects and
punctures repaired by your FLYER
specialist dealer.
If you plan to fix flat tires yourself:
Get intensive instruction from a FLYER
specialist dealer and practice the process
of changing wheels and tires under its
supervision!
Switch off the drive system and, if pos-
sible, remove the battery before starting
work.
Perform a brake test after all work has
been completed.
i
Important: It is essential that you
observe the relevant manufactur-
er's instructions for the brakes and
gears installed on your e-bike and, if
necessary, the manufacturer's
instructions for other affected com-
ponents.
19.3 Fenders
Depending on the model, your e-bike has
fenders that catch dirt and stones thrown up
by the wheel set while cycling.
Some fender models have a safety attach-
ment that disengages from its mount to
prevent a fall if an object becomes trapped
between the fender and the tires.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
Riding with fenders that are not
securely fastened or damaged can
result in accidents and serious injury.
