7.5 First inspection
After 4 months or after the first 200 kilometers
ridden (whichever comes first), have a FLYER
specialist dealer check the following points
and readjust components if necessary:
The tight fit of all bolts, nuts and quick
releases.
The perfect condition and running of the
wheel set.
If necessary, have the wheel set
properly centered by a FLYER specialist
dealer.
The perfect condition of the tires.
The tightening torques of all parts.
Torque: See the model-specific
information in the applicable Tech-
nical Data document.
The adjustment of the headset.
The brake lines and shift cables.
The proper condition and operation of the
gear shift.
If necessary, have your FLYER special-
ist dealer adjust the gear shift correctly.
The proper condition and operation of the
brakes.
If necessary, have the brakes properly
adjusted by your FLYER specialist dealer.
The perfect condition and proper func-
tioning of the suspensions.
If necessary, have your FLYER spe-
cialist dealer adjust the suspension com-
ponents correctly.

Important: On the occasion of this
initial inspection, have your FLYER
specialist dealer introduce you to
the correct cleaning and oiling of the
chain, as well as the correct check-
ing of the components for proper
functioning and damage.
7.6 Regular inspection
Have your e-bike regularly inspected by
a FLYER specialist dealer once a year or
after 1,000 kilometers of cycling (whichever
comes first) and have components adjusted
or replaced if necessary.
The regular inspection should include the
following points in particular:
All moving parts for which lubrication
is provided are greased with a suitable
lubricant.
The frame and components of the e-bike
are checked for cracks and damage.
Paint damage is repaired.
Components or parts with rust spots are
replaced.
All bare metal parts (except brake sur-
faces) are treated against corrosion (rust).
Defective or damaged parts are replaced.
The wheel set is checked and centered if
necessary.
The tension of the spokes is checked.
Chain and gear rims are cleaned and
checked for wear.
The chain is oiled with suitable lubricant.
The rims are checked for wear.
The brake pads are checked for wear.
Have the oil changed.
All bolts, nuts, quick-release axles and
quick releases are checked for tightness.
The brakes and quick-release axles are
checked and adjusted correctly if neces-
sary.
Damaged or worn parts will be
replaced.
The gear shift is checked and adjusted if
necessary.
Damaged or worn parts will be
replaced.
The hubs are checked.
The headset is checked.
The pedals are checked.
