FLYER recommends the following safety
measures for transporting children in the
bicycle trailer:
• Do not allow children to ride in the trailer
unless they are wearing a suitable helmet.
• Have the child trailer equipped with a flag-
pole at least 1.5 m high and flexible with a
pennant in fluorescent colors.
• Note that children weighing more than 22 kg
may not be transported in bicycle trailers.
5.7 Transporting the e-bike
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
If the e-bike starts up unintentionally
during transport, if you do not use
suitable transport aids or if you do not
secure the e-bike sufficiently for trans-
port, accidents and serious injuries
may result.
• If possible, remove the battery before
transport and transport it separately
or secure the e-bike against uninten-
tional startup if the battery cannot be
removed. Observe the information in
the manufacturer's instructions for
your electric drive.
• Only use suitable approved trans-
port aids (e.g. bicycle racks) to
transport your e-bike. For use,
observe the information in the man-
ufacturer's instructions for your
transport aid.
• Before transporting the e-bike,
secure it sufficiently against slip-
ping and falling down.
NOTE! Risk of damage!
Careless transport can result in dam-
age to the e-bike or the individual com-
ponents.
• If possible, transport the recharge-
able battery separately and make
sure that it is secured against
shocks and impacts.
• If possible, remove other sensitive
components from the e-bike before
transport.
• If necessary, observe the available
information on transport in the man-
ufacturer's instructions for the indi-
vidual components of your e-bike.
Important: If you want to take or
transport your e-bike on a bus, plane,
ship or train, ask the respective trans-
port company about the transport
conditions for the battery and e-bike
before starting your journey.
Observe the following points for transporting
your e-bike:
• When transporting your e-bike, only use
transport aids (e.g. bicycle racks) that
allow you to transport your e-bike in an
upright position.
If necessary, consult a specialist dealer
for advice on suitable transport aids.
• Before transporting, switch off the electric
drive system and remove the battery if
possible.
• If your e-bike has a disc brake with a
transport lock: Attach a transport lock.
• Attach your e-bike to the transport aid and
secure your e-bike.
Observe the information in the manu-
facturer's instructions for your transport aid.
5.7.1 Notes on folding bicycles
Folding bicycles can be folded to a compact
size using the model-dependent folding mech-
anism. In this way, you can store or transport
your e-bike in a space-saving manner.
Important: For the correct and safe
execution of the folding process,
observe the associated folding
instructions for your e-bike.
WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
Folding bicycles that are not securely
secured can cause serious falls and
injuries.
• Before cycling off, always make
sure that all foldable components
are correctly unfolded and securely
secured in the unfolded position.
