The approval number from TÜV is
assigned as part of the approval for
S-pedelecs in the European Economic
Area.

Sound emission level
The sound emission level indicates
the loudness of the vehicle (in dB
(A)) at a given engine speed (in rpm).
S-pedelecs do not generate any signifi-
cant sound emissions during operation.

Maximum continuous rated power
The maximum continuous rated power is
the maximum output for over 30 minutes
at the output shaft of the electric motor.

Switch-off speed
The switch-off speed (in km/h) is the
speed at which the motor assistance of
the S-pedelec is switched off.

The permissible total weight is the
sum of the weight of the S-pedelec in
a ready-to-operate state and its maxi-
mum load (rider + luggage).
FLYER S-Pedelecs marketed in Switzerland
have a nameplate on the frame (without
approval number).

3.3 Areas of application
With regard to the intended use of pedelecs,
FLYER follows the categorization of bicycles
and EPACs according to ASTM F2043-13.
You will find the symbol for the category of your
FLYER pedelec on the nameplate (see chap-
ter 3.2 “Nameplate and approval number”).
• Use your FLYER pedelec exclusively for
uses as specified in the following table for
your category.
