13.3.3 Inserting/removing the range
extender
Inserting the range extender

Important: Insertion of the range
extender is possible at any time,
regardless of whether the regular
battery is inserted or not.
1. First slide the range extender over the
two pins from the side as far as it will go
and then slide it down on the pins towards
the motor.
 When the range extender is cor-
rectly inserted, the release lever audibly
engages.
2. Make sure that the range extender is
firmly seated.

Important: If you lock the regular
battery on the e-bike with the bat-
tery lock or screw connection, this
action also locks the range extender.
Removing the range extender

Important: Make sure you have set
the desired charging mode in the
Settings menu or change it before
removing the range extender. You
cannot change the charging mode
on the removed range extender
during charging.
1. Remove the regular battery before
removing the range extender.
2. Press the release lever on the range
extender with one hand and push the
range extender slightly upwards with the
other hand.
3. Then slide the range extender to the
side from the pins and remove it from the
e-bike.

Important: To charge the range
extender, observe the information in
the associated manufacturer's
instructions for the range extender.

Your e-bike has one separate brake each for
the front wheel and the rear wheel. To oper-
ate the brakes, use the brake levers on the
left and right of the handlebars.
