WARNING!
Risk of accident and injury
The lighting system is a safety-related
component; its function is vital.
• Have the lighting system of your
e-bike checked by a FLYER special-
ist dealer in the event of failures or
short-term malfunctions and have
any faults rectified if necessary.
• Always have your lighting system
maintained by a FLYER specialist
dealer.
10 Warranty and guarantee
10.1 General warranty of
the specialist dealer
End customers are entitled to the usual
warranty claims against the FLYER spe-
cialist dealer (depending on the agreement
or applicable law; generally two years from
handover). In the case of the battery, a
residual capacity of 60% of the original nom-
inal capacity is guaranteed after two years
or 500 full charging cycles, provided that
the battery has been operated and charged
according to the original instructions. Nor-
mal wear and tear are generally not sub-
ject to warranty claims. The end customer
is responsible for ensuring that the FLYER
e-bike is regularly maintained and serviced
(including the performance of all inspections
in accordance with the original instructions).
Warranty claims are also excluded if the
FLYER e-bike has been independently mod-
ified or repaired or if it has not been used as
intended, including racing and competition
use, commercial use, overloading and other
use outside the intended purpose.
For used bikes from FLYER specialist deal-
ers (used bikes), the warranty period starts
as of the date of purchase by the original
purchaser.

11 Disposal
When servicing, cleaning and disposing of
your FLYER e-bike, be sure to protect the
environment. Therefore, use degradable
cleaning agents whenever possible for care
and cleaning and make sure that no clean-
ing agents get into the sewage system.
The complete e-bike, all components, lubri-
cants and cleaning agents, and especially
the battery (hazardous material) must be
disposed of properly.
You will find the following symbol on the
nameplate of your FLYER e-bike and on the
battery:
The symbol of the
crossed-out wheeled
garbage can means that
the motor and battery
must be sent for sepa-
rate waste collection at
the end of their lifetime.
• Observe the notes on
disposal in the manufacturer's instruc-
tions for your electric drive.
• Return electrical components that are no
longer serviceable to your FLYER spe-
cialist dealer.
