Removing the server from a rack
1. Power down the server. For more information, see "Powering off the server."
2. Disconnect all peripheral cables from the server.
3. Extend the server from the rack, as shown in Figure 3-12.
a. Open the lat
ches of the chassis ears.
b. Loosen the captive screws.
c. Slide the server out of the rack, during which install the chassis handles in sequence. For
information about installing the chassis handles, see the labels on the handles.

4. Place the server on a clean, stable surface.
