to check the configuration and running of IGMP on an interface.

4.7 Maintaining IGMP
This section describes how to maintain IGMP.
4.7.1 Clearing the Information About an IGMP Group
Context
CAUTION
The IGMP group that an interface dynamically joins is deleted after you run the reset igmp
group command. Receivers may not receive multicast information normally. Therefore, confirm
the action before run the command.
You can run the following commands to clear the information about an IGMP group in the user
view.
Procedure
l Run the reset igmp group { all | interface interface-type interface-number { all | group-
address [ mask { group-mask | group-mask-length } ] [ source-address [ mask { source-
mask | source-mask-length } ] ] } } command to clear the IGMP group that the interface
already dynamically joins.

4.7.2 Monitoring the Running Status of IGMP
Context
To check the running status of IGMP during routine maintenance, run the following display
commands in any view.
Procedure
l Run the display igmp group [ group-address | interface interface-type interface-
number ] [ static | verbose ] command to check the information about the IGMP multicast
group.
