NS3502-8P-2S to offer effective data traffic control for ISPs and Enterprises, such as VoIP, video

and the aggregation layer of IP metropolitan networks.

The NS3502-8P-2S provides 8 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports + 2 100/1000X SFP slots.

switch fabric and wire-speed throughput as high as 20Gbps, which greatly simplifies the tasks of
upgrading the LAN for catering to increasing bandwidth demands.
Robust Layer 2 Features
The NS3502-8P-2S can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as
dynamic Port link aggregation, Q-in-Q VLAN, private VLAN, Rapid Spanning Tree protocol, Layer 2
to Layer 4 QoS, bandwidth control and IGMP / MLD Snooping. The NS3502-8P-2S provides 802.1Q
Tagged VLAN, and the VLAN groups allowed will be maximally up to 255. Via aggregation of
supporting ports, the NS3502-8P-2S allows the operation of a high-speed trunk combining
multiple ports. It enables maximum up to 5 groups of 10 ports for trunking, and supports fail-over
as well.

The NS3502-8P-2S is loaded with powerful traffic management and QoS features to enhance
services offered by telecoms. The functionality includes QoS features such as wire-speed Layer 4
traffic classifiers and bandwidth limiting that are particular useful for multi-tenant unit, multi

Efficient Management
For efficient management, the NS3502-8P-2S Managed Ethernet Switch is equipped with console,
WEB and SNMP management interfaces. With the built-in Web-based management interface, the
IFS NS3502-8P-2S offers an easy-to-use, platform-independent management and configuration
facility. The NS3502-8P-2S supports standard Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and
can be managed via any standard-based management software. For text-based management, the
NS3502-8P-2S can be accessed via Telnet and the console port. Moreover, the NS3502-8P-2S
offers secure remote management by supporting SSH, SSL and SNMPv3 connection which
encrypt the packet content at each session.
