IMPORTANT: There are two types of piston/rod as-
semblies available for the 3 cylinder powerheads:
Design 1 – Bottom guided (centered in bore
by crankshaft)
Design 2 – Top guided (centered in bore by
piston)

Top guided piston and rod assembly can be installed
in a powerhead with bottom guided piston and rod
assemblies.
However, individual components cannot be inter-
mixed – I.E. – Top guided piston cannot be used with
a bottom guided rod.
