AllowsthecongurationoftheparametersthatapplytomorethanoneUPCorEANdecoder.
•SecurityLevel-ThescanneroffersfourlevelsofdecodesecurityforUPC/EANbarcodes.Selecthighersecurity
levelsforlowerqualitybarcodes.Thereisaninverserelationshipbetweensecurityanddecodespeed,sobe
suretochooseonlythatlevelofsecuritynecessaryfortheapplication.
–Level0-Thisdefaultsettingallowsthescannertooperatefastest,whileprovidingsufcientsecurityin
decoding“in-spec”UPC/EANbarcodes(default).
–Level1-Asbarcodequalitylevelsdiminish,certaincharactersbecomepronetomisdecodesbeforeothers
(i.e.,1,2,7,8).Ifthescannerismisdecodingpoorlyprintedbarcodes,andthemisdecodesarelimitedto
thesecharacters,selectthissecuritylevel.
–Level2-Ifthescannerismisdecodingpoorlyprintedbarcodes,andthemisdecodesarenotlimitedto
characters1,2,7,and8,selectthissecuritylevel.
–Level3-Ifthescannerisstillmisdecoding,selectthissecuritylevel.Beadvised,selectingthisoptionisan
