3.7 Installing the Charging Station

The following figures provide the wiring connection configuration of the facility to the elec-
trician access box.

You must configure, and connect the facility wiring to the electrician access box
according to Figure 3-69. Wiring misconfiguration could potentially result in
electric shock or fire.
Wiring Specifications

Power is provided to the power supplies inside the electrician access box as (3) distinct
phases derived from (3) phase input.
l
Power supplies can withstand up to 305 VAC (nominal 277 VAC) on any given phase.
l
Configuration depends on (3) phase scheme and voltage.
l
Earth ground is separate, and always only ties to the ground distribution block.
l
White wires are used to configure for delta or WYE input.
l
Neutral terminal block accepts an abandoned neutral wire for the low voltage wye con-
figuration.
l
All field phase wires land into main disconnect switch. They do not directly go into the
terminal.
