Missing or incorrect cathode sens-
ing voltage (Vsense C) value
returned.
1. Access Service Mode>Calibra-
tion>AD Calibration menu. Verify
+400V Cathode voltage is within
tolerance per Table 3-8 (non-Q-
Bus Systems) or Table B-3 (DiRex
Systems) or Table D-1 (all other Q-
Bus Systems). If not, calibrate in
accordance with "A/D Calibration
Procedure" in Chapter 3 (non-Q-
Bus Systems) or Appendix B
(DiRex Systems) or Appendix D
(all other Q-Bus Systems).
2. Using a DMM, measure the dc
voltage across the (+) and (-) termi-
nals of the Cathode DC capacitor
bank (i.e., C9-C12 on non-stored
energy (SE) systems, and C9-C11
on SE systems). The voltage
should be between 355-440 VDC.
If not, check for open fuses F1 and
F2 (mounted on inside front edge
of generator chassis).
3. If voltage across Cathode DC
capacitors is within range, mea-
sure the voltage from the (+) termi-
nal to chassis ground and then
from the (-) terminal to ground.
The measured voltage for each
should be one-half the value mea-
sured in the previous step. If not,
check incoming line voltage at TB2
(TB1 on SE units).
