In a system of this size there are
hundreds of potential software
errors that are not worth
setting up a separate category
for. These errors are covered by
this catch-all category.
If this error occurs, you will
find more information in the
log file entry.
Follow the sequence listed below if you
encounter this error:
Search for an entry in the log file.
Resolve the problem or
contact a service technician.
Error upon
accessing a shared-
memory area
Data used by several processes
are organized in an SHM area.
The management of SHM areas
takes place through the
operating system. An error
occurred upon
opening/reading/writing in an
SHM memory. The SHM areas
are generated via an SHM
manager during the startup of
The SHM area can be identified by the
means of the log file. The availability and
size of such an area can be determined with
the 'ls -l /dev/shmem' command. Have you
made changes to the general parameters? If
so, try to revert them. Contact a service
engineer.

record not found
The system tried to access a
non-existent general
parameters record. Have you
made changes to the general
parameters? Have you activated
Use the log file to determine the record
type and abbreviation of the missing
general parameters record. You will have
to undo any changes made to the system.
