Operator's Manual - Version 1.6 - 10/2015 2-17
The quality system operated in two steps:
First step: cap recognition
The cap recognition is carried out with the same operating principles as the BlueLYNX
220CX camera system. An image is created of the tube cap with black background. The
image is then analyzed in the QS I PC. The acquired data is then recorded and sent to the
QNX PC for determination of the tube type.

Second step: serum analysis
In the second step, the tube is positioned at the appropriate height, based on the tube-type
data which was already acquired. A white background is then brought behind the tube.
Figure 2-12: Serum identification with white background
A second image is recorded there by the camera. This is sent to the QS I PC for serum
analysis. The live image can then be viewed during the program execution on the touch
screen.
