INSTALLATION OF STEERING SYSTEM
◆
Reverse install steering machine according to
removal procedure
◆ Install the steering rod in the reverse direction of
the removal procedure, and check the left and
right steering rods to be the same length before
installation
◆
Before installing the steering shaft or EPS, it is
necessary to ensure that the two front wheels are
facing straight ahead, and the steering shaft is not
rotated during the assembly process
◆
Connect the power and signal wiring harness of the
EPS motor
◆ After the installationd, the toe parameters of the
front wheels need to be adjusted (see“wheel” for
details) to ensure that the vehicle can drive in a
straight line
Adjust the installation angle of the steering wheel so
that the turns of left and right turning is the same, and
the steering wheel is centered when driving in a straight
line
◆ Tighten the steering wheel nut according to the
torque requirement, and install the steering wheel
cover
◆
Check function of each switch and test EPS.
