3.5.2 Removing a PRO device
The HMI deices is generally removed by following the steps taken to install in it but in the
reverse order.
Procedure
Proceed as follows:
1. Exit all open programs and ITC or SINUMERIK connections with the HMI device.
2. Switch off power to the HMI device.
3. If you use the HMI device in a hazardous area, ensure that both of the following conditions
are met: The area is no longer hazardous or the device and its plug-in connections are de-
energized.
4. Open the connection bay by removing the connection bay cover.
5. Remove all cable ties which are located in the connector compartment on the operator
control to relieve strain from the connection cables.
6. Remove all connector plugs and the equipotential bonding from the operator control.
7. Replace the operator control from the support arm or pedestal. Make sure that the
connection cables are not damaged.
8. Fasten the terminal compartment cover to the device with the 2 screws, torque 1.5 Nm.
