Operating the device
4.1 Overview
Introduction
If you are using the device to access a server, the screen display of the server is shown on the
device. You operate the server screen from the device.
Operator input options
The following operator input options are available, depending on the peripherals that are
connected to your device:
• External keyboard, connected via USB
• External mouse, connected via USB
• Touch screen
You control operating elements by touching with your finger.
To double-click, touch an operating element twice in rapid succession. The server can be
configured for opening folders and files with a single click.
Depending on the features of the server to which the Industrial Thin Client is connected,
the capacitive touch screen provides single-touch or multi-touch functionality.
Unintentional actions
In conjunction with a server configured for single-touch operation, operate only one
operating element on the screen at a time.
Otherwise, you can trigger unintended reactions.
On-screen display for remote access to a server
The server screen is displayed as a full screen.
