OPENING A SUPPORT TICKET
You can open a support incident using the Spectra Logic Technical Support portal or
telephone.
• Use the following instructions to open a support incident through the portal, or
skip to Contact Spectra Logic Technical Support by Phone on page260.

1. Make notes about the problem, including what happened just before the
problem occurred.
2. Gather the following information:
• Your Spectra Logic customer number
• Company name, contact name, phone number, and email address
• The library serial number (see Viewing Library and Module Status on page150)
• Type of host system being used
• Type and version of host operating system being used
• Type and version of host storage management software being used
3. If necessary, log in to the Support Portal by clicking Login, enter your email
address and password, and click Log in.
