Input disqualified* INDISQ A reference input has been
disqualified by the clock card.
1. Set the input signal format to the
correct setting if needed (ED-
SYNC::CLK-a:<ctag>:::ESF=b;,
where a is the input channel number
of the clock card, and b is Y or N,
where Y is ESF and N is D4).
2. If the condition does not clear,
troubleshoot the specified input span
signal (check the source).
Istate not
identical*
XFER The parameter settings in the two
clock cards are not identical.
Wait approximately 10 min for the
information to be transferred.
Rack alarms RACKALM8 Equipment external to the shelf is
generating an alarm.
Troubleshoot the external equipment
generating the alarm.
SmartClock
suspended*
SNSCSUS During holdover, the oscillator
frequency has drifted outside the
pull-in range and the oscillator is no
longer using the SmartClock
algorithm.
End holdover mode by configuring the
shelf to qualify an input signal.
Sourcing Other
Clock
EXOTHCLK The indicated expansion controller
card is receiving a good clock
signal from the master shelf (as well
as associated framing and
communication), but not from its
normally preferred master shelf
clock. For any expansion shelf, an
expansion controller card in the
leftmost slot (EC1) prefers to receive
its master shelf clock from CLK1
(leftmost clock in master shelf).
Similarly, an expansion controller
card in the rightmost slot (EC2)
prefers to receive its master shelf
clock from CLK2 (rightmost clock in
master shelf). Hence, an example
where this alarm would occur is if
an expansion controller card in
EC1 is only getting clock
information from CLK2 in the
master shelf.
1. This alarm is expected if there is no
associated clock in the master shelf
or if that clock is still warming up and
the other clock has already
completed warmup.
2. If there is an associated clock (for
EC1 the associated clock is CLK1, for
EC2 the associated clock is CLK2) in
the master shelf that has completed
warmup, there could be a fault with
the expansion controller card. Check
if there are other reported alarms
associated with expansion links that
could further diagnose the cause of
the problem.
