AuroraPlus is supplied with the following items:
• a 6-pole RJ45 to RJ45 cable for S interface testing
• for French units, a cable with 4m 'banana' plugs and
crocodile clips for U interface testing
• a serial port connector cable for direct communication
with a PC serial port
• installation software, where required
• for battery and analogue units, a power charger
(European, US or UK)
• this User Guide
• a carrying case (optional accessory)
Looking after AuroraPlus
AuroraPlus has been designed and constructed to withstand the
rigours of a typical telecommunications working environment.
It can be used in wet conditions but is not waterproof and
will not withstand excessive ingress of water.
Caution
Do not use solvents, strong detergents, or abrasive materials to
clean your
AuroraPlus. Use only cleaning agents approved for
use on plastics.
Safety Advice
When using AuroraPlus, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock or injury,
including the following:
• The serial port, the DC Power Input Connector and the
Interface Connector must not be connected to mains
power outlets. The Interface Connector should only be
connected to authorised ISDN or analogue lines.
