Version: 14.12.2012 page 132 of 135
Additional Information on Signal Action in the Labeler
If the input signal of the product sensor changes from low (passive) to high (active), the
following steps will proceed one after another:
1) Waiting for the adjusted time. (TRIGGER DELAY) ;
2) Registration of conveying speed via DIG (if connected and selected)
3) Activation of SYNC -relay
4) Label feed in predefined speed;
5) Waiting for the adjusted time SYNC PULSE;
6) Deactivation of SYNC -relay
7) Waiting for the adjusted time TRIGGER BLANK;
8) Label counter counts up;
If a failure is indicated after step 1, the action will be interrupted and therewith also the se-
quence.
While the labeler is waiting for the input trigger of the product sensor, the board will be
controlled constantly, if a button is pushed.
If only the [Enter] button is pushed, it will equate to a manual triggering which will lead to
the same sequence as already described.
Notes regarding Requirements to Label Material
The following requirements should be met for a correct operation of the standard la-
bel/stop-light barrier:
- Label material is not transparent.
- Label material has gaps of minimum 3 mm.
- Labels are stamped completely (without disposal fence or rather all labels are ex-
isting).
- Label liner is light-transmissive (opacity-check with light-barrier is possible).
Remarks regarding stress peaks
At heterodyned recurring transients (stress peaks in power network) the labeler is able to
react to them and stop. If you do not deflect from standard software setting, the labeler re-
turns to home position (like at turning on the labeler). Stored parameter are not deleted
(minimum operating quality is maintained). To make the labeler ready for operation again,
push the [Start] button. A possible remark for stress peaks is the jittering of the display
controller. If the labeler stops increasingly often, it is advisable to remedy the causes of
the stress peaks or install a mains filter or an undervoltage power supply before the la-
beler.
