Chapter 6 Installation and Initial Operation Alpha Compact 32708612
Version: 14.12.2012 page 45 of 135
Low Label Sensor (Option)
The low label prewarning is used to display a pending end of the label roll. If a pending roll
end was displayed, the user should insert a new label roll to keep the labeler ready for
operation.
If a particular roll diameter is underrun, a warning message is issued by a signal at the
output X6 alarm lamp (yellow). The labeler is ready for operation as long as there are no
labels anymore available. Then the labeler changes to failure and stops.
For the optional low label prewarning (article number 35001817) a mounting has to be
fixed at the unrolling arm of the sensor. The sensor has to be connected at the connector
X3 Low Label.
An alarm lamp can be connected optionally at the socket X6 Alarm lamp.
If the low label prewarning is not detected after installation, a Service Technician
should check in the configuration menu if the parameter 004 at +16 (Function: Store
of low label signal) and parameter 045 at +64 (Low-paper Sensor) are selected.
