4. Description of the Labeler
Application Field of the Labeler
The ALPHA Compact is used for the automatically labeling of products. Depending on
machine attitude the labeling can be arranged on the sides or on the top face or the bot-
tom side onto the product without any interruption. Depending on the application a
lefthand (LH) or righthand (RH) version of the labeler is used.
Usually the products are transferred to the labeler by a conveying system.

Function of the Labeler
The labels are unwound together with the label liner from a roll by a motor powered pair of
draw rollers and pulled around a peel bar (peeler blade). Thereby the labels are peeled off
the label liner and stuck on the passing product. The rest of the label liner is motor-driven
rewound. If the label material is consumed, the labeler will stop. To activate the labeler
again, the label rest-roll and the label liner have to be removed manually and new label
material has to be loaded in the labeler.
This kind of label-application is called Wipe-On and is the standard applying mode
