Application Modi
The Alpha Compact applies the labels onto stopped or moved products. Therefore several
application procedures (modi) are possible and can be configured by the HMI display. In
application Modi, Tamp-Blow-Mode, Tamp-On-Mode and Blow-On-Mode, optional appli-
cators have to be installed at the Alpha Compact.
Wipe-On
The label is peeled off from peeler blade and applied onto the passing product. This mode
is the standard application mode of the Alpha Compact and it is possible without further
mounting parts (applicators).
Tamp-Blow-Mode
The label is positioned by an optional applicator to a vacuum tamp and at triggering it is
extended to the product and it is then blown off onto the product.
The Tamp-Blow-Mode is often used as the products need to be labeled contactless and it
thus presents a low-wear working method.
Tamp-On-Mode
In difference to Tamp-Blow-Mode, the product is touched during labeling. The label is
pushed onto the stopped product by the vacuum tamp. This mode requires a change of
the applicator configuration and resp. an adjustment of the labeling position.
Blow-On-Mode
The label is forwarded by an optional applicator with tamp by the vacuum and blown off
onto the product without any movement of the stroke. The application mode cannot be
used in all cases. BLUHM Systems therefore offers a testing under original conditions.
