7.10. The Lost Voltage Alarm (Dual Power Inlet Units Only)
The Lost Voltage (Line In) Alarm can provide notification when one of the two power
supplies available to a dual power inlet unit is interrupted.
Notes:
• TheLostVoltage(LineIn)alarmisonlyavailableonTSM/RSMunitsthat
includetwoinputpowerlines(TSM-DPSSeriesunitsandRSM-8R8
Seriesunits.)
• TheLostVoltage(LineIn)alarmwillprovidenotificationwhenoneofthetwo
availablepowersuppliesislostordisconnected.Thisalarmwillnotfunction
ifallinputpowertotheunitislost.Toprovidenotificationwhenallinput
powerislostandrestored,pleaseusethePowerCycleAlarmasdescribed
inSection7.6.
• InorderfortheTSM/RSMtoprovidealarmnotificationviaEmail,
communicationparametersmustfirstbedefinedasdescribedin
Section5.9.11.
• InorderfortheTSM/RSMtoprovidealarmnotificationviaSyslogMessage,

describedinSection5.9.7andSection12.
To configure the Lost Voltage (Line In) Alarm, you must access the TSM/RSM command
mode using a password that permits Administrator Level commands. The Lost Voltage
Alarm Configuration menu offers the following parameters:
• TriggerEnable: Enables/Disables the trigger for this alarm. When Disabled, this
alarm will be suppressed. (Default = On)
Note:Tocancelanalarmwithoutcorrectingtheconditionthatcausedthe
alarm,simplytoggletheTriggerEnableparameterOffandthenbackOnagain.
Note:
• Whenanalarmisgenerated,tocancelanalarmwithoutcorrectingthe
conditionthatcausedthealarm,simplytoggletheTriggerEnableparameter
OffandthenbackOnagain.
• TheTriggerEnable,NotifyUponClear,EmailMessageandAddress1,2
and3Parametersallinclude"CopytoAllTriggers"optionsthatallowyouto
enable/disablethecorrespondingparameterforallTSM/RSMalarms.For
example,iftheLostVoltageAlarm'sTriggerEnableparameterissetto"On
(CopytoAllTriggers),thenallotherTSM/RSMalarmswillalsobeenabled.
• ResendDelay: Determines how long the TSM/RSM will wait to resend an email
message generated by this alarm, when the initial attempt to send the notification
was unsuccessful. (Default = 60 Minutes)
