Basic Configuration
• TelnetAccess: Enables/disables Telnet access. When Telnet Access is "Off," users
will not be allowed to establish a Telnet connection to the unit or initiate outbound
Telnet or SSH connections. (Default = On)
• TelnetPort: Selects the TCP/IP port number that will be used for Telnet
connections. (Default = 23)
Note:IntheTextInterface,thisitemisdefinedviaasubmenu,whichis
displayedwhentheTelnetAccessparameterisselected.
• Max.PerSource(PerSource): The maximum number of Telnet sessions that will
be allowed per user MAC address. (Default = 4)
Notes:
• IntheTextInterface,the"Max.PerSource"(PerSource)parameterisdefined
viaasubmenuofitem21(TelnetAccess)intheNetworkParametersmenu.
• Afterchangingthe"MaxPerSource"parameter,youmustlogoutofallpre-
existingTelnetsessionsinorderforthenewmaximumvaluetobeapplied.
• SSHAccess: Enables/disables SSH communication. (Default = On)
• SSHPort: The TCP/IP port number used for SSH connections. (Default = 22)
Note:IntheTextInterface,thisitemisdefinedviaasubmenu,whichis
displayedwhentheSSHAccessparameterisselected.
• HTTPAccess(WebAccess): Enables/disables the Web Browser Interface.
When disabled, users will not be allowed to contact the unit via the Web Browser
Interface. (Default = Off)
• HTTPPort: The TCP/IP port number used for HTTP connections. (Default = 80)
• HTTPSAccess: Enables/disables HTTPS communication. For instructions on
setting up SSL encryption, please refer to Section 14. (Default = Off)
• HTTPSPort: Selects the TCP/IP port number that will be used for HTTPS
connections. (Default = 443)

• WhentheWebAccessparameterisaccessedviatheTextInterface,the
resultingsubmenuwillalsoallowyoutoselectSSL(encryption)parameters
asdescribedinSection14.
• HardenWebSecurity:When the Harden Web Security feature is On (default,) only
the high and medium cypher suites for SSLv3 and TLSv1 will be enabled. When
the Harden Web Security feature is Off, all SSL protocols will be enabled, allowing
compatibility with older browsers. (Default = On)
