CPU Connection Comment
MICRO
CPU M13C
n PtP communication requires the optional
EM M09 extension module.
n The extension module provides interface
X1: PtP (RS422/485) with fixed pin assign-
ment.
n For connection to the CPU, use a
PROFIBUS connector from VIPA.
n Activate the terminating resistor on the
PROFIBUS connector.
n After switching on the power supply and a
short start-up time, the CPU is ready for
the PtP communication.
System SLIO
CPU 013C
n The CPU has the interface X3 MPI(PtP)
with a fix pinout.
n For connection to the CPU, use a
PROFIBUS connector from VIPA.
n Activate the terminating resistor on the
PROFIBUS connector.
n After switching on the power supply and a
short start-up time or after an overall reset,
the interface has MPI functionality. You can
activate the PtP functionality via the hard-
ware configuration.
