Idle Display, Home Menu, and User Menus in the Standard Display
The printer’s control panel includes a display, where you can view the printer’s status or change its
operating parameters. In this section, you will learn how to navigate through the printer’s menu system and
change values for menu items.
Idle Display After the printer completes the power-up sequence, it moves to the Idle Display (Figure 12).
The printer displays the current firmware version and its IP address.

Home Menu
Use the Home menu (Figure 13) to access the printer’s operating parameters through the
eight user menus (see Adjust Printer Settings on page 92). Click any of the icons in Figure 13 to go to the
descriptions of the menu items for that user menu.
