NOTE: If necessary, samples can be processed in the open mode,
as it is not affected by this problem. To run samples in the open
mode, first initialize the system as directed in the initialization
procedure provided in the Troubleshooting Procedures section of
this chapter. When initialization is complete, the open mode is
automatically selected and samples can then be processed.
