Lesson 1 – Analog Modules
116
• Audio AWG (1.024 Msps 24-bit)
– Single-ended: 2 outputs (one at a time): X+ or X-
– Differential: 1 output: X+&X- pair
• Video AWG (100 Msps 14-bit)
–
Video AWG and Audio AWG functions share the pogo pins.
Same output configuration as Audio AWG.
The number of AWG cores per source unit is one, which can be
Video AWG or Audio AWG.
• PMU (DC -2 V to +3.5 V, ±3 mA, 0.1 mV/0.1 µA resolution)
— Abbreviation: PMU or MCA-PMU
– Enables the analog pin contact test (DC test)
– 4 inputs/outputs (1 input/output at a time): X+, X-, XX+, XX-
– PMU (Parametric Measurement Unit) functions:
IFVM (current force and voltage measure) and
VFIM (voltage force and current measure)
– The MCA-PMU is set up with the programming interfaces used
to set up the PPMU of the digital channel.
• V Source (DC ±3.5 V @ ≥ 10 kohm load to GND, ±3 mA, 0.1 mV
resolution)
– DC voltage source that keeps the voltage output during the
testsuite(s) or during a test in a testsuite.
– V Source core-function uses the MCA-PMU hardware.
– The setup of the V source is specified on the Analog Setup Tool
as a part of an analog set (data).
– The voltage setting accuracy of the V source is better than the
PMU when the DUT impedance is greater than or equal to 10
kohm. For the specifications, see “MCA V Source Key
Specifications” on page 114.
The V source (and MCA-PMU) has a 52 ohm output impedance
(nominal value), and thus a voltage difference between the
pogo pin and the setting voltage occurs according to the flowing
current (maximum 3 mA). For the V source, this voltage
difference can be compensated by specifying the DUT
impedance (input impedance of the DUT).
