THYROID UPTAKE: STANDARD
CAPSULE METHOD
GENERAL PROCEDURE
The general procedure for performing a TU study via the Standard Capsule Method is:
• Enter TU Standard Data
• Measure TU Standard once a day
• Enter Patient Demographics
• Choose Standard Capsule Protocol
• Choose Standard
• Perform Pre-Dose Measurement (if it is in protocol)
• Enter Capsule Administration Data
• Perform the uptakes at the indicated times
ACCESSING TU STANDARD
To access TU Standard data and/or measure a TU Standard, press F2 [STAND] from the
Probe Screen (
Figure 11-1).
