The function keys on this screen operate as follows:
•
F1 [COUNT] Re-counts the background without saving the current
measurement.
•
F2 [RANGE] Switches between the selected ranges. This key will be blank and
inactive if only one energy range was chosen.
•
F3 [SAVE] Saves the displayed spectrum to memory. The word “SAVED” is
displayed.
•
F4 [SC/CR] Used to either change the vertical scale of the display or the
number of channels the cursor will move for each press of an
ARROW key. (Reference the F4 [SC/CR] section on page 19-7 for
usage instructions.)
•
PRINT [P] Prints the Background Measurement.
To exit Background
and measure Sources, press the BSP key. The Measurement Selection
Screen (
Figure 19-3) will re-appear.
MEASURING A SOURCE
When MEASURE SOURCE is chosen, screens similar to MCA Setup will appear (except for
the name screen). If a Setup has been chosen, the values stored in the Setup will be
displayed. If no Setup has been chosen, the default values will be displayed. Even if a Setup
has been chosen, the values can be changed at this point, but they will only be valid for this
measurement and will not be stored.
The ROI Entry Screens will appear.
