Press F4 [OK] to store the data.
Press PRINT [P] to print a report of the Generic Conversion Factors.
Press F1 [DONE] to exit and return to the Wipe and MCA Setup menu (
Figure 12-3).
ADDITIONAL NUCLIDES
A list of all nuclides whose data is built into the CAPTUS
®
600 may be obtained via
Diagnostics.
If you will be working with nuclides that are not on this list, data for up to 10 nuclides may be
added.
To set up additional nuclides, from the Wipe and MCA Setup menu, press 3 to select
ADDITIONAL NUCLIDES.
Figure 12-10 will appear.

Type the one or two letter symbol for the nuclide. If this nuclide has just one letter, be sure to
press the SP (Space) key after the first letter. Then type the two or three numbers that
indicate the atomic number for this nuclide.
Note: Use the * key to add the m for Metastable, if applicable.
When the nuclide name is correct, press F4 [OK].
In the example below (
Figure 12-11), Fe55 is entered for the nuclide name.
