If the Standard has not been measured “today”, the Standard Measurement procedure will
be performed and then the uptake procedure will be entered. Press HOME when the
Measure Neck Screen appears if it is not time for an uptake.
If the Standard has been measured “today”, the TU uptake measurement procedure will be
entered.
UPTAKE MEASUREMENT
When it is time to perform the uptake, select the patient from the patient list.
If the selected Standard has not been measured for the current calendar day, or if the
distance has been changed, the TU Standard measurement procedure will be performed.
When the Standard has been measured with the same distance, measure the neck and thigh
according to the directions in CHAPTER 8: THYROID UPTAKE: GENERAL
INSTRUCTIONS.

After the neck and thigh have been measured, the Results Screen (Figure 11-14) will appear.
