F4 [START] to begin the measurement.
If the background has not been measured for the chosen energy scale during the current
calendar day, the following message will appear:
BACKGROUND NOT YET MEASURED
WITH THIS ENERGY SCALE
MEASURE BACKGROUND NOW?
If you answer “YES”, the Background Range Selection Screen will appear with the chosen
range highlighted. Proceed as if Background had been selected.
During the measurement of the source, the
F2 [STOP] key can be pressed whenever it
appears that enough counts have been accumulated.
Note: During counting, the percent dead time will be displayed in the upper right hand
corner.
When the measurement is completed, the Results Screen (
Figure 19-8) will appear.
