3.2 CONNECTING VIA BLUETOOTH

DONGLE
3.2.1 CHANGE INTERFACE
Below is the procedure to configure the scanner before establishing a WPAN connect ion
via Bluet oot h
®
dongle.
1) Read t he “ Ent er Set up” barcode t o enter the configuration mode.
2) Read t he desired interface barcode –
“ Act ivate Bluet ooth
®
HI D & Select Keyboard Type”
“ Act ivate Bluet ooth
®
SPP Slave Mode”
“ Act ivate Bluet ooth
®
SPP Master Mode”
3) Read t he barcodes related to WPAN set t ings, such as Device Name Broadcasting,
Aut henticat ion & PI N Code, et c.
4) Read t he “ Update” barcode to exit the configurat ion m ode.
5) The scanner will stay act ive for a specified period of t im e ( 2 m inutes by default )
waiting for a connect ion request from t he host (SPP Slave Mode) or trying t o connect
to t he host (HI D or SPP Mast er Mode). I ts CPU is running at full speed, and the LED is
flashing blue ( On/ Off ratio 0.5 s: 0.5 s) .
Once connect ed, when out of range, the scanner will respond wit h t hree short beeps
(tone descending from high to low) .
