5.7 REMOVAL OF SPECIAL CHARACTER
You can only specify 1 character, but it will rem ove every m at ching character
encountered from the start ing position of barcode data until a different character is m et.
For exam ple, if it is configured to rem ove the character “0” ( hex value is “ 30” ) , one or
m ore zeros will be st ripped off the barcode data “ 012345” and “ 00012345” . However, for
barcode data “ 010333” , only the first zero will be st ripped off.
Remove Special
Character
1) Read t he barcode above to rem ove the specified character.
2) Read t he “
Hexadecim al Value” barcode on page 220 for the desired character string.
For exam ple, read “3” and “0” for the scanner to rem ove the character “0”.
