EXAMPLE
Without using the scanner to read the above set up barcodes for configuring the 3610
dongle, run HyperTerm inal.exe on the host com puter to send serial com m ands to 3610
via USB Virtual COM.
1) Connect 3610 to t he USB port of PC.
2) The Com m unicat ion LED will indicat e when 3610 can accept serial com m ands after
initializing. Refer to t he t able below.
 I f the out put interface is USB Virtual COM, run HyperTerm inal.ex e on t he host
com puter. While the Comm unicat ion LED on 3610 is purple (red with flashing blue) ,
type the serial com m and wit hin 3 seconds.
 I f the output interface is USB HI D, press the “Num Lock” or “Caps Lock” key via t he
keyboard 5 tim es within 3 seconds while t he Com m unication LED on 3610 is flashing
red and blue. This will change the int erface from USB HI D to USB Virt ual COM and t he
Com m unicat ion LED will becom e purple ( red with flashing blue). Then, run
HyperTerm inal.exe on t he host com puter. While t he Com m unicat ion LED on 3610 is
purple (red wit h flashing blue), t ype the serial com m and wit hin 3 seconds. After
configuring via serial com m ands, t he int erface will reset to USB HI D aft er
re- connecting 3610.
