Update
Upgrade firm ware t o one scanner at a tim e. For exam ple, turn off each of the rest
scanners when t here is m ore than one scanner connected to host com puter.
Not e: 1. Ensure the scanner has a fully charged bat t ery prior to attem pting a firm ware
upgrade.
2. I n order t o avoid t he data loss during firm ware upgrade. Please save or upload
all the dat a from t he flash m em ory before beginning firm ware upgrade.
HOW TO UPGRADE 1663 FIRMWARE
USING 3610
1) Connect 3610 to t he USB port of PC after installing its driver.
2) Refer to
3.1.1 Connect to 3610 for connecting to 3610.
Read t he “ Set Connect ion” label first , and then the “Serial Num ber” label. Bot h labels
can be located at the back of 3610.
3) Read t he following barcodes in sequence t o configure t he scanner to use USB Virt ual
COM as download int erface.

Activate 3610 USB
Virtual COM
Update
Not e: You m ay also choose t o use “ Direct” USB Virtual COM interface.
4) Read t he following barcodes in sequence for the scanner to ent er the download m ode.
The scanner will respond with beeps to indicat e it is ready for downloading.
