1.10 READ REDUNDANCY FOR ALL SYMBLOGIES
Select the level of reading securit y. For exam ple,
I f "No Redundancy" is select ed, one successful decoding will m ake the reading valid
and induce the "READER Event".
I f "Two Tim es" is select ed, it will take a tot al of t hree consecutive successful decoding
of the same barcode to m ake the reading valid. The higher t he reading security is
(that is, the m ore redundancy the user selects) , the slower t he reading speed get s.
I t is obvious that the m ore redundancy select ed, t he higher t he reading security is, and
thus, t he slower t he reading speed becom es. I t has t o com prom ise between reading
security and decoding speed.
